

Advanced Prototyping and Experimentation (APEx) Consortium
APEx seeks to advance and accelerate emerging technologies and capabilities delivered at the speed of relevance. APEx will address critical national security vulnerabilities focusing specifically on Kinetic Capabilities (such as Hypersonics), Energy Storage and Batteries, and Microelectronics. APEx will also seek to address urgent capability gaps related to Critical Chemicals and Minerals, Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS), Rare Earth Elements (REE), Critical Materials, Industrial Base Emerging Technologies, and Space Industrial Base.

APEx also seeks to advance and accelerate research and development in essential research program compencies related to Biological and Biotechnology Sciences, Electromagnetic Spectrum Sciences, Energy Sciences, Humans in Complex Systems, Mechanical Sciences, Military Information Sciences, Network, Cyber, and Computational Sciences, Photonics, Electronics, and Quantum Sciences, Sciences of Extreme Materials, Terminal Effects, and Weapons Sciences.
